Make journalling a consistent and sustainable part of your routine, boost your confidence and self-esteem, and feel proud of the English you already have.
Does this sound familiar?
- You’ve heard about the benefits of journalling for both your mindset and language practice.
- You’ve bought a beautiful new notebook, and maybe even treated yourself to a pen with your favourite ink, but they’re still sitting unused on your bookshelf or bedside table.
- You’ve tried journalling, but that nagging voice in your head tells you you’re not doing it right, or that it’s pointless because you can’t see that it’s making any difference.
I’ve heard so many stories like these, which is why I’ve decided it’s time to do something about it!
On Saturday, 12th October, I’m hosting Meaningful Journalling, a two-hour workshop to show you how to make journalling in English a consistent and sustainable part of your routine, helping you to feel more confident and boost your self-esteem.

In Meaningful Journalling: The Workshop, I'll take you through...
- a brief introduction to the benefits of journalling;
- a visualisation exercise to get you in the right frame of mind for journalling;
- a simple, practical journalling technique to make writing in English part of your regular routine. I’ll explain the technique with examples and give you plenty of time to create your own version. *This is an exclusive technique that I haven’t shared anywhere else before!*
- strategies for how to use journalling as a tool to recycle vocabulary;
- 20 minutes of dedicated journalling time;
- an opportunity to discuss your experience with fellow participants in breakout rooms;
- a Q&A session to answer any journalling-related questions.

But that's not all!
We all know how motivated we feel after a workshop, only for the enthusiasm to fade a few days later. It’s easy to slip back into old habits, leaving your journal untouched once again.
That’s why Meaningful Journalling: The Workshop includes access to a private Telegram group between 6 – 27 October.

How does it work?
The Telegram group opens on Sunday, 6th October.
Each day in the week leading up to the workshop, you’ll receive one simple task to complete. These tasks are designed to get you workshop-ready and lay the groundwork for a consistent journalling practice following the workshop.
The Telegram group will remain open for two weeks after the workshop, with regular prompts and reminders to keep your writing on track. You’ll also receive support from other participants and have the chance to encourage them too.
THIS WORKSHOP WILL NOT BE RECORDED!
How many times have you signed up (and paid!) for a workshop, only to leave the recording gathering dust in your email inbox, waiting for that mythical “perfect time to watch”?
The whole purpose of this workshop is to make journalling a consistent and sustainable practice, to boost your confidence and self-esteem. You’ll gain much more from attending live, and I can’t guarantee the same experience if you watch it later — especially if the recording never even gets watched!
I understand that many of you like having a recording to review later or check your understanding. That’s why I’ve created a PDF workbook that you can download and print before the workshop. This way, you can fully engage with the workshop without worrying about taking notes or missing any important information.
What's included?
- A live and interactive two-hour journalling workshop 4pm – 6pm CEST (Central European Summer Time), Saturday, 12th October.
- A Q&A session at the end of the workshop.
- Access to a private Telegram group with daily tasks from Sunday, 6th October to Saturday, 12th October.
- Accountability prompts and support from the Telegram group until Sunday, 27th October.
- A downloadable PDF workbook summarising the workshop’s key points.
Investment: 27 euros
Hi, I’m Sarah – and I’m here to help you slow down, reflect, and gain new perspectives on language and life.
I’ve created this workshop because I know that building confidence and developing a lasting relationship with a language comes from consistent practice, not quick fixes.

Over the last ten years, I’ve helped advanced and proficient-level English users reach their goals of passing exams, successfully completing job interviews, and giving presentations. But these are just the means to an end.
I’ve seen time and again how students’ attitudes change dramatically when they take their foot off the gas and allow themselves to sink into enjoying the English they’ve worked so hard to acquire.
I know you’re tired of chasing the impossible goal of ‘perfect English’.
I know you’re fed up with memorising and regurgitating polished essay phrases or repetitive interview introductions.
I know that you want to find your own voice in English – to express yourself as freely and eloquently as you do in your first language.
I also know the toll that perfectionism takes when working towards such lofty goals.
After leaving my successful Director of Studies job due to burnout, I had to go back to basics and re-build my self-esteem from scratch. Fortunately, I worked with a number of wonderful mental health professionals who introduced me to a whole host of confidence-boosting techniques — one of which was journalling.
This regular writing practice has been a mainstay in my life ever since. As an introverted yet ambitious teacher and business owner, journalling helps me celebrate my successes, navigate my challenges, and put things into perspective when my intrusive thoughts become just a little too loud.

This workshop is for you if...
- you’re looking for a more meaningful way to practise the new language you learn in class;
- you feel lost at the start of a new academic year and need a tool to organise your thoughts;
- you panic whenever you have to write in English;
- you want to start journalling, but can never find the time or motivation to do so;
- you’ve tried journalling but aren’t sure if you’re ‘doing it right’; you often find yourself staring at a blank page, unable to come up with ideas;
- you already journal in your first language, but don’t know how to use journalling to improve your English;
- you’re a keen journaller, but you feel a little bored with your usual writing routine;
- you want to connect with like-minded English users and share strategies for journalling and confidence-building.
